My Story in a
Minute!
Born January 11, 1952 in Wareham, Massachusetts. Grew up on Cape Cod in the town of Falmouth. At the age of 21, I Joined the USCG and spent 20 great years traveling. My most memorable duty stations were in Alaska, Seattle, Wisconsin and Grand Haven. A day does not go by that I don't think back about the wonderful times in the Guard.
In March of 1998 I started
working for Grand Valley State University at the
School of Engineering in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position has
fulfilled a lifetime dream of working in an Educational environment. I am the
Laboratory Supervisor for all the Electrical and Electronics Courses. I order,
set up and maintain all the equipment for the courses. I also Manage our new
Kennedy Engineering Building.
I am a graduate from Baker College in June of 1999 and earned
my AA degree in Networking Technology. My wife Joan and I , live in
Rockford, Michigan. I have two sons, Ron Jr. from Washington State and Bill in
Spring Lake, Michigan. We have two wonderful grandchildren, Ashley Rachel, and
a new Grandson Miles Mayhew.
