Welcome to the 2007 Michigan Academic Advising
Annual Conference Website!

Thank you for your interest in the 3nd annual Michigan Academic Advising Conference! The theme for this year’s conference is Putting the Pieces Together: Sharing Ideas and Best Practices. The conference will be Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the campus of The University of Michigan. State conferences are a time for us to connect with our colleagues from all over Michigan, to form collegial relationships and share ideas, so we are excited about this year’s theme and the promise that it brings.

The conference planning team has been hard at work designing an exceptional professional development experience that we hope you will find both informative and refreshing. The day will offer several breakout sessions from colleagues across Michigan, in addition to the keynote speaker Dr, Susan Campbell, Executive Director of the Division of Advising and Academic Resources at the University of Southern Maine. She is also serves as the 2006-2007 President of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).

Ann Arbor is a city rich in cultural diversity, arts, athletics, and recreation. There is always something to do whether it be shopping, visiting the downtown area, or the University of Michigan campus, dining in one of its finest restaurants, touring a museum, or catching a UM athletic event. See the Additional Information links for more information about Ann Arbor.

We hope the 2007 conference will provide a venue for Putting the Pieces Together across Michigan! Please join us at the conference on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan!

Hope to see you in May!
