Success in e-mailing your professor

Please consider the following when sending an e-mail to a GVSU professor:

n         Use your student.gvsu.edu account to minimize having your e-mail considered spam

n         List your course and section number in the subject line

n         Politely phrase your question(s) or concern(s) using grammatically correct sentences

n         Avoid using IM/Text messaging slang

n         Sign your first/last name to the end of the message

n         Proofread before sending

n         Allow a reasonable period of time for a response
