Dream Journal (excerpt)

Using sugar as currency, a girl buys a loaf of bread. A dragon come to each also, and turns out to be my friend Chad, transformed by his greed. The mouse Reepicheep appears to help him. Chad is lead to a lake with fog on the surface. He is forced under the water by the mouse and transformed back into his normal self.

On a beach, I’m walking with an old friend. A bunny hops up to our feet and tells us to follow him. We arrive in a huge room of mirrors with a merry-go-round in the middle. There a man riding the carousel sitting in the horse-drawn carriage. His life support system is set up all around the carousel. We keep walking, and now we’re in suburbia. A man is cutting down a large branch from a tree in his front yard. When it separates from the trunk, it jumps in the air 20 feet, bounces off the ground and lunges toward the man’s son. The father pulled out a mace and sent it crashing into the branch. It shook violently and then became completely still. Running to his son, the dad checks to see if he’s all right. The boy starts laughing and we keep on walking past.
