Sausage Cake

This is a great recipe for a winter snowshoe or ice fishing trip. If you don't like sausage, don't worry. You'll never know it's in there. This is a family favorite. Give it a try! What have you got to lose?

 

Sausage Cake

1 lb bulk sausage (unseasoned)
1 cup cooked raisins
1/2 t cloves
1/2 t allspice
1 t cinnamon
1 t nutmeg
1 t soda
2 t baking powder
3 c flour
2 c brown sugar (packed)
1 c warm raisin water
1 c chopped walnuts

Mix flour, soda, and baking powder. Combine with the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Pour in Angel Food Pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
