This course is an introduction to the political, social, economic, and cultural history of Early Spain. This course will draw on diverse literary and cultural texts (including literature, art, architecture, and music) in dialogue with the major historical events of their period in order to gain insight into the socio-cultural perspectives that have shaped the formation of modern Spain . SPA 310 is a content course, that is to say knowledge-based in which Spanish is used to learn the material.
