ONE of the following topics:

Analyze early modern European violence.
Your paper should discuss what kinds of violence existed in early modern
Europe, which groups promoted or suffered from this violence, and what purpose
that violence served in early modern culture and society.
OR
2.
Analyze gender in early modern Europe.
How was gender defined? What
role did gender play in the religious, social, cultural, and political life of
early modern Europe? Did the early modern European ideas about gender restrict
or liberate early modern men and women? Why?
