Parking
Visitor parking at UM consists of paid parking garages and meters. Due to the length of the conference, parking in a garage is recommended.
Palmer Commons Parking Garage (this is the closest parking for Rackham Building)
Continue past the Rackham building, turn left onto Fletcher Ave. Turn right onto Huron Street, follow the curve to the right- street will turn into Washtenaw Ave. Turn right onto Palmer Drive (about 100 yards past Huron/Washtenaw Curve- traffic light). The parking structure has 2 entrances on the left side of Palmer Drive. First is for UM faculty and staff, the second is for visitors. Cost is $1.10 per hour.
Forest Street Garage (this is a longer walk to Rackham)
Continue past the Rackham building, turn left onto Fletcher Ave. Turn right onto Huron Street, follow the curve to the right- street will turn into Washtenaw Ave. Take Washtenaw to South University, turn right. Turn right onto Forrest Street. The garage is on down two block on the right hand side. Cost is $0.95 per hour.
Handicap parking spaces are located in all metered and cashier-attended parking areas. Payment of fees is required, unless free parking is specified on the state-issued handicap parking permit.
There will be signs to direct you back to Rackham once you have parked. In addition, parking maps will be included with conference confirmation.
