 This is the parish council at San Francisco in Mejicanos. This church is called the parish of the martyrs. Two priests from this church were killed during the early 80's and hundreds of people from the parish. (The two priests are entombed there.) These people were incredible! The work they do is so impressive. They are the model for Christian Based Communities (which is why so many from this parish were killed - the communities were a perceived threat to the government, so they were considered subversive and targetted by the deathsquads.) |

 This lovely parish is on the grounds at University of Central America, the Jesuit college in San Salvador. In 1992, 6 Jesuit priests, their housekeeper and her daughter were massacred in their home by government forces. They are all entombed here. |
